Pretties! Very nice. I really like the “Walk in the woods” fabric line. I am thinking of ordering it myself to make a quilt for my daughter.

I love also the clever backing on the “Candy Bars” quilt, very creative!

That was more out of desperation than creativity:) I used every last piece I had. Lol. Thanks Steffie!

I had already guessed that you had ran out of backing fabric. It happens. But I love the clever solution you had for it! I will “steal” that solution for myself instead of cursing :D

  6. Hi I just ran onto your website, I’m trying to teach myself to quilt. I was get frustrated on all the rulers, and template information and what I needed. Your article on rulers and templates helped me out so much. I want to tell you THANK YOU!!!! If I have any questions could I contact you? I have to do everything online because I live on a ranch and the nearest quilting store/craft store in 180 miles one way. One final thing if anyone else out there would be willing to help me with questions or problems let me know.
    Thanks

  9. Just beautiful, every one. I love that vintage modern fabric, and the strip quilt with the little girl on it. I am a newbie with a new sit-down machine. Thanks for all the info. you offer here!!

Have you ever made a quilt using the “economy quilt block” method where use a square, cut another square into quarters to sew on each corner, then two more squares cut in half to go on those three sides forming a larger square. The pattern with dimensions are under several listings, but I haven’t seen one showing the finished product of an entire quilt, just a square. I’m trying to visualize how this might look for a signature quilt with the center of each square being the white 5″ signature square. PLEASE let me know what you think or if you have any examples to show. Trying to figure how to incorporate multiple light and dark yellow/gray/white prints for best effect. Thank for your help. This is for Melissa’s quilt for their going away gift!! Thank you.

hoping you can give me some advice, i have several pillow forms that measure 16×16 and 14×14
the patterns i have to quilt are 12 inch blocks, is it just a matter of adding strips to the pattern to reach the size of the pillow. Does this throw the design off?

    thanks
