Yes, I am still finishing the binding on this quilt!
I did manage to pick out the fabric I wanted and also get the binding made last week.
Now….I just have to get it on the quilt!
I used this awesome border, backing and binding calculator to figure out exactly how many strips to cut:
I am having second thoughts on this green….I might just cave in and go back to pink!
What do you think?
We shall see!!!
Either way it will be done this week for sure.
Here is a sneak peak at something else I am working on….
a Sunbonnet Sue special request for a special little girl.
Stay on one project, stay on one project…….Oh well!
Happy Stitching♥
I love quilting calculators. They make life so much easier. Meanwhile, what an adorable Sunbonnet Sue.
Thanks Becky! Saves my brain power for other quilts endeavors:)
I love the Sunbonnet Sue! It was the first quilt I made from a book that was all dedicated to Sunbonnet Sue.
I used Eleanor Burn’s book for the pattern. Good book for SBS appliqué.
I love that Sunbonnet Sue! Those colors are so pretty.
Thanks Jen!
I like your binding choice, and your Sunbonnet Sue is adorable. The applique looks impeccable!
Thanks Kelly!
I like the green! At the end of the day, if the pink is calling you then must be fate. Really I think both options are pretty great, you win either way! I the bonnet girl, my grandmother had them all over her house. It reminds me of home ;)
Thanks Susan, a couple votes for green so I will give it a go:)
Thanks for the yardage calculator,
Your welcome Jean! Hope it comes in handy:)
I love the Sunbonnet Sue! My grandma had made one when I was little. I always loved looking at it when we were at her house.
They remind me of yesteryear too! I found an old one at a garage sale. I will have to post a pic.
Love Sunbonnet Sue! How do you get the blanket stitching so perfect? Makes me want to try this.
Did the blanket stitch on machine…slowly:) Thanks Julie!
