Commagain?

 IMG_1839

Okay, that post title has a high cheese factor;) but……

Look what came in the mail! I’ve been waiting to get my hands on some of this line for a while, Comma by Zen Chic for Moda fabrics:)

I have no idea what I am gonna do with it, but I had to have it…ya know what I mean?

There is a long list of quilts I am dying to make, How about you?

Here are a few of mine: dresden plate, a simple HST quilt, orange peel, chevron, swoon, triangle, drunkards path, log cabin, brick….the list goes on and on! I recently wrote a bunch of them down because I kept forgetting what was on my list.

Well, no matter what…with fabric this cute, it will look great! (no such thing as an ugly quilt in my book)

What is a quilt you are dying to make and what fabric line or style are you dying to make it in???

Swoon has been on my list for a while. I have the pattern, I have the fabric, I think I’m just a little intimidated by it. You make yours first then you can help me : )

  3. What super fun fabric! This will be fun to play with!

  4. Oooooo….. The Swoon is named appropriately… Especially the scrappy version. Those fabrics are luscious! Yah, know it took me till now to get it… Commagain? I had to read AnneMarie’s comment before I clued in…. Ha!

  5. I’m collecting realistic FLORAL prints that would look like a real garden scene. When I get enough of a stash, I hope to make a LATTICE pattern with the X’s and O’s pattern. (I think that’s the pattern I saw once at MSQC!) Anyway…something like it, at least! :) I would use the floral fabrics to make a garden in the O’s…and a white lattice with the X’s.

  6. I just want to make a quilt, any quilt!
LOVE those fabrics!!! I’m thinking Drunkards Path too.

Have you seen the pinwheel made from drunkards path blocks? That is on my list too. I am thinking this might knock off two at one time…….

I love those fabrics and your “cheesy” title. It took me a minute to figure it out!! I need to write down my various planned or existing UFO’s. I’m afraid to list them, but I know I’m more likely to complete something if I make a list, make a plan, prioritize and begin!! Happy Quilting!

Hmm. Looking back, I guess I didn’t really answer the question. The ones I have planned, I don’t know really know what pattern I’m using, but have kind of created my own. Also, plan to do one with blues and whites, each square a different applique or pattern, combined with almost a trellis style in-between forming vertical stripes with a blue on white floral print. Someday…..Right now working on baby gifts of playyard size or stroller quilts. Thanks for making me think about thsi!

I am definitely liking my list, keeping me focused:) The trellis quilt sounds nice, but I do like my smaller projects too!

  9. Love the colours.
What’s HST? In Canada, that’s Harmonized Sales Tax and I don’t to commemorate that in a quilt! :-)
I just found some great fabric called space (see it on my blog) for background fabric for a quilt for my daughter. Love it.

  10. Excellent blog post title! And the fabric is lovely too.
